Basically judt the process of making this website, and my logs through it
This page is all about my cousin Casey, who I’m showing off as a kind of celebrity for my Media Studies project. I’m Cameron McBurney, and I wanted the site to feel a bit like those celebrity magazine interviews you see online, but still easy for people our age to get into. I kept the same layout, fonts and colours from the homepage so it all ties together. The text is short, friendly and straight to the point. I’ve made sure everything here is original and with Casey’s say-so. I didn’t want to overload it with boring personal info, so instead I’ve put the focus on Casey’s work, the stuff that inspires her, and how she connects with people. Basicly, it’s all about making her feel like a star.

The 'Behind The Scenes' was originally just supposed to be some random photos of that weird stage in town, but when i realised that all photos have to be original i changed my directive to a more vague and general approach.
Honestly the 'Artist Inspiration' Merry-Go-Round Animation was probably the most annoying in some cases, itd conflict with the objects below it and cause the likes of images below and text to spin around as i scrolled, i ended up leaving that for a while and fixed it a bit before the deadline ahaha.
To be fair the 'Q&A' wasnt too bad, for some reason the arrows dont load on mobile no matter what i do, but sure, every website has at least 1 graphical glitch. the animations for that kne were slightly frustrating because of the fact i wanted it completely perfect lol. but i digress.
Okay now its time to share the logs, these were a good help of keeping track of where i was. welp here goes nothing.
29 March 2025:
Started project, built basic HTML skeleton for homepage.
Added favicon and initial metadata.
2 April 2025:
Installed Bootstrap and custom CSS.
First attempt at navbar, links broke on mobile.
4 April 2025:
Fixed navbar collapse issue by adjusting Bootstrap classes.
Set colour scheme (white text on dark backgrounds).
7 April 2025:
Added Casey’s main profile image.
Mistyped file path so image didn’t load until corrected.
10 April 2025:
Used Mobirise only for section tagging structure (cid-... IDs).
Parallax hero section implemented successfully.
13 April 2025:
Added stats section with albums/tours/follower numbers.
JS error stopped numbers from displaying so i fixed syntax.
16 April 2025:
Built first version of gallery grid.
Gallery overflowed on small screens so i applied responsive fix.
20 April 2025:
Added “Latest Updates” news cards.
CSS margins were uneven; corrected spacing in flexbox.
24 April 2025:
Wrote FAQ accordion content.
Collapse arrows didn’t rotate so i fixed with correct Bootstrap attributes.
28 April 2025:
Added original background audio file.
Autoplay worked on desktop, failed on mobile so i left as is due to browser limits.
2 May 2025:
Built “Details” section (phone/email/fan mail).
Alignment error caused email text to overlap icon so i corrected padding.
6 May 2025:
Inserted footer with my name + class.
Accidentally duplicated CSS rules so i cleaned stylesheet.
12 May 2025:
Styled rounded corner content boxes.
Used wrong hex code at first so i fixed to correct white background.
18 May 2025:
Created second page (details.html).
Navbar didn’t link properly between pages so i fixed anchor references.
23 May 2025:
Added hero panel for interview page.
Panel colour set too dark; adjusted to grey for readability.
28 May 2025:
Wrote draft interview text (representation & audience).
Accidentally left spelling errors so i corrected later.
4 June 2025:
Applied violet body background for contrast.
Initially set on sections, which broke socials/footer so i moved to body.
11 June 2025:
Added socials box with black background.
Forgot to override text colour so i links invisible until fixed to white.
18 June 2025:
Improved footer, bold white text centred.
Fixed missing closing /p tag causing layout shift.
25 June 2025:
Centered all text globally for consistency.
Broke navbar alignment so i fixed with specific overrides.
2 July 2025:
Added FAQ link in navbar (anchors).
Typo in ID meant link didn’t work at first so i corrected.
10 July 2025:
Implemented placeholder JS to load follower counts from JSON.
Script initially failed due to wrong JSON path so i fixed file location.
18 July 2025:
Cleaned out old sabrina celebrity code leftovers (Sabrina references).
Accidentally removed a div, broke gallery so i restored correctly.
5 August 2025:
Polished details page text to make it more dynamic and fitting with theme.
Corrected grammar and added slight casual tone.
25 August 2025:
Final pre-submission checks: tested both pages across desktop + mobile.
Confirmed all sections meet Media Studies brief.
